I designed editorial layouts for 5+ years while I attended undergrad at Penn State and grad school at University of Baltimore. I have a master’s degree in Publications Design.
As the Lead Editorial Designer I collaborated with another editorial designer and ad designers to get The Baltimore Jewish Times printed each Wednesday. The publication went through a page size change while I was there. I was responsible for reflowing the departments at the front of the publication to maximize space new editorial departments. I managed freelance budgets, recruited freelancers, delegated illustration and photo assignments, and art-directed photoshoots. I produced prepress files for printing and generated content for the web.
